Gather with your family for a playful, hands-on experience that invites connection while learning the ancient and empowering skill of fire-making. Participants explore fire safety, make tinder bundles, and practice safe, reliable techniques for building a fire with guidance for all ages. The experience culminates in a fire circle where families celebrate their shared success with stories, hot drinks and snacks around the fire. Experience sparks, laughter, and a sense of togetherness in the winter.

Roots to Action: Earth Keepers Celebration is a youth-centered, intergenerational gathering that honors the Earth and the people who care for it. Designed for people of all ages, this event celebrates people who are transforming their love of nature into meaningful action. Grounded in a Roots, Trunk, and Leaves & Seeds framework, the event weaves together elders who offer wisdom and deep relationship with place (roots), mentors who offer support that helps ideas become action (trunk), and youth leaders (leaves & seeds) who inspire peers and adults alike with their courage, creativity, and care. Throughout the day, participants will engage in intergenerational story circles, moments of play and celebration, and hands-on activities that invite learning by doing—planting seeds, joining stewardship projects, creating art, speaking up, collaborating, and more. Roots to Action is ultimately about hope in motion by inviting participants to step fully into their role as caretakers of the Earth and reminding all of us how we become stronger and more resilient when generations learn and act together.

Kiva Family Camp is a welcoming, all-ages, campout and gathering where families, couples, and individuals come together to live, learn, and play as a temporary village. With a relaxed Friday afternoon arrival, everyone eases into shared camp life, setting up camp in the meadow, meeting friends and settling into a slower, land-based rhythm. Each day blends hands-on nature activities and practical, earth-living skills with plenty of time to explore, create, and simply enjoy being outdoors together. Throughout the weekend, participants move between guided learning, free play, and unstructured village time with space for children to explore while adults connect and unwind. Village-wide games and playful challenges invite everyone to collaborate and laugh together. Evenings draw the community to the fire for shared meals, stories, music, and singing beneath the stars. We close on Sunday after lunch, heading home with new skills, deeper friendships, and a felt sense of what it’s like to belong to a joyful, caring village in nature.

A transformative two-day/night training designed for educators, parents, mental health professionals, and all adults who seek to reconnect with the rhythms of the Earth, ancestral stories, their own inner voice, and the sacred responsibility we hold to the next generation.
