Connect, Learn, and Grow:
Intergenerational Nature-Based Community Programs
The Kiva Center’s Community Programs offers inclusive, intergenerational nature-based gatherings for all ages and stages of life. We know in our bones that being in community with one another through a deep relationship with the land feels right—it’s how we are meant to live. Yet, in this modern age, we find ourselves increasingly isolated, indoors, and on screens. Our Community Programs are designed to provide a healthy, joyful alternative through gathering regularly in nature, slowing down, and reclaiming what it feels like to be truly human. This is what sparks cultural change, lasting relationships, and a return to a simpler, more meaningful way of life.
These connective and soulful events—from seasonal celebrations and cultural exchanges to practical skill-building workshops—are designed to help you awaken the wisdom and awe of nature into your daily life. The gatherings are a powerful way to strengthen community bonds and foster opportunities for cross-generational exchange among participants, as well deepen our connection with nature.
All programs take place on our beautiful 80-acre site in Lefthand Canyon, only ten minutes from Boulder. This stunning natural gathering place is situated where creek, prairie, and mountains meet. With its towering rock formations, dense pine forests, and the soothing flow of Lefthand Creek, the land provides an ideal, immersive environment for exploration, learning, and connection.
