Bird LanguageSlumber Party!

Saturday, June 27, 11AM - Sunday, June 28, 2PM
(All meals from Saturday dinner through Sunday lunch are included.
Please bring your own lunch.)

What if the birds around you were sharing stories all day long—and you simply hadn't learned their language yet?

Did you know that baby birds will often rapidly flutter their wings when begging for food? If you see this behavior, make sure to check for fluffy feathers—you might be seeing a fledgling out of its nest!

Join us for the Bird Language Slumber Party!

This is a community overnight camping experience designed for 5-105 year olds to explore the fascinating language of birds with naturalist and educator Karen Axe. Through stories, games, and early morning bird sits, we'll learn how birds communicate important information about the world around us—and how paying attention to nature can help us better understand ourselves as well.

We will camp together for one night, share cooperatively organized meals, and enjoy plenty of unstructured time to play, explore the creek, wander the land, and connect with one another.

Participants will need to bring their own camping gear. If you do not have any, please reach out so we can assist you.

Donation-based Gathering

This is a donation-based gathering with a suggested donation of $250 per family or $100 per individual. If you feel called to participate, we encourage you to come no matter what your financial situation is.
