Kiva Family Camp is a guided overnight experience for a small circle of families, couples, and individuals to live, learn, and play as a temporary village in nature. This gathering is designed to support meaningful connection within families, in community, and with the natural world.

With a relaxed Friday afternoon arrival, participants step into a space where learning, play, and relationship-building unfold organically in a safe, welcoming community. Throughout the weekend participants explore earth living skills which may include:

-
Wild edible and medicinal plant use
-
Knife skills and carving wooden tools
-
Navigating without GPS
-
Weaving net bags, cordage, and simple baskets
-
A variety of nature crafts and other ancestral land-rooted practices
-
The art of camouflage through sneaking practices
-
Learning the language of birds
Children benefit from guided exploration, imaginative play, and skill-building tailored to their developmental stages, while adults are supported through hands-on learning, the opportunity to play, facilitated discussions, and space to connect with other adults navigating similar life paths. Evenings offer nighttime adventures and gathering around the fire for storytelling, music, and reflection. Participants leave with treasured memories and new skills, as well as deeper relationships, increased confidence outdoors, and the lived experience of belonging to a small, caring village in nature.
Kiva Family Camp takes place on our beautiful 80-acre site in Lefthand Canyon, only twenty minutes from Boulder, Colorado. This stunning natural gathering place is situated where creek, prairie, and mountains meet. With its towering rock formations, dense pine forests, and the soothing flow of Lefthand Creek, the land provides an ideal, immersive environment for exploration, learning, and connection. Our intimate setting allows for personalized guidance, safer instruction in hands-on skills, and the space for authentic relationships to grow.
Enjoy a true village atmosphere where children can explore freely, adults can connect deeply, and everyone can learn side-by-side at a natural pace. The result is a rich, deeply connected, and memorable experience.
