Get Ready for a Summer of Discovery!
This program offers five weeks of engaging activities where participants can explore and develop a unique skill each week. From outdoor adventures to hands-on learning, each week promises a new and exciting experience for a summer filled with growth and fun!
June 10th - 14th
Ever wanted to run off and join the circus? Now’s your chance! Our Circus Skills Program focuses on learning, practicing, and developing beginning competency in circus skills. Participants will engage in skill development, encompassing a range of circus activities, including juggling, stilt walking, and diabolo (Chinese yo-yo). All activities offer participants a collaborative space to explore key elements of circus arts: fostering creativity, freedom of expression, movement, strength, flexibility, and balance. June 17th - 21st
Join us for a week of cultivating the skill of crafting with natural treasures we find on the land. Participants will learn how to turn natural elements into works of art through leaf pressing and creating natural dyes. An epic scavenger hunt will guide us in collecting materials to make seed bombs, mandalas, and nature bracelets. Throughout the week, participants will explore the beauty of the land and discover the magic of nature-inspired crafting. Meet the Mentors Allie Sharrock Chris Hopper
June 24th - 28th
Dive into a comprehensive exploration of knife safety, equipping participants with the knowledge to confidently engage in the art of whittling. Participants will not only hone their whittling techniques but also unleash their imagination, transforming simple pieces of wood into cherished tiny treasures. We provide knives for use during the week and have some available for purchase. July 8th -12th
Embark on a journey of captivating adventures where each activity contributes to a comprehensive understanding of survival in the great outdoors. Participants will learn how to build shelters, filter water, and forage to provide them with the foundation to meet their basic needs in the wild. This hands-on experience goes beyond mere survival know-how; it instills confidence and fosters independence in our young participants, empowering them to navigate and thrive in the wilderness with skill and resilience. July 22nd - 26th
Join us for a week of harvesting herbs and plants found on the land, as we delve into the art of ethical harvesting. Participants will learn to identify, gather, and appreciate the diverse offerings of the natural world. We'll immerse in the hands-on experience of crafting edible and medicinal remedies, discovering the healing potential of the land around us. From creating herbal teas to concocting salves and tinctures, this camp fosters a deeper connection to the environment while instilling the importance of sustainable foraging practices. 9 AM - 3 PM
Each day the group will meet on private wilderness land at the base of Lefthand Canyon. This 80-acre captivating property features towering rock formations, dense pine forests, and the calming flow of the Lefthand Creek. The area offers a pristine and wild expanse, providing a picturesque backdrop for outdoor adventures and exploration.
