On Mondays and Wednesdays, the Trailblazers enjoy two days full of community building, exploration, and problem-solving. Children gain the experience of building relationships of mentorship and support amongst peers of varying ages as they delve into their curiosities and learn through hands-on experience. The activities that we explore on this day are similar to those of the other days, however, on Wednesdays, the children get to enjoy an “Adventure Learning Day”, which includes prolonged time for students to embark on self-directed projects supported by mentors. If your child thrives by learning in a multi-generational and collaborative setting, this will likely be a great fit for them. While this group is designed for kids to attend 2 days a week, children are welcome to enroll in both or either day independently. Main lesson units are shared with families. Each semester includes one weekend adventure day.

Every Tuesday or Thursday the Beehive or Fox group meets with excitement to welcome the sunshine, explore the land, and catch up with friends. At this age, creative expression, stories, handwork, and active games are woven into a joyful day of exploration around the beautiful Lefthand Canyon land. Children get to experience building friendships and working together as a team to achieve a common goal. The day is balanced with a mixture of structured group activities, community service, and free play time. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to foster a love for the outdoors, build social competence, and learn practical life skills. Main lesson units are shared with families. Each semester includes one weekend adventure day. While your child is welcome to enroll in both days, these are independent, separate days.

the Eagles soar to take on big responsibilities on the land and develop a strong sense of accomplishment for their creative ingenuity. As they greet each day with vigor, students at this age are invited to come back to their innate sense of wonder, looking at the land as a never-ending art piece to marvel upon in gratitude each day. In a culture of reverence and celebration of diversity, each child is welcomed to feel at home in their own skin. Along the way, they are guided in deepening their skill sets in areas such as survival skills, fiber arts, and land care. Through mentorship, they learn the foundations of good learning practices that will guide them to be lifelong learners. Each semester culminates with an “Immersion Excursion” Wilderness Experience.
